Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour
Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour considered one of the best aerial tours in the world. The tour starts from Kathmandu, flying towards the beautiful Sherpa village and the gateway to Everest, Lukla airport. After fueling in Lukla, the flight starts flying towards Everest Base Camp. The flight goes over the Tengboche, Dingboche, Gorakshep and Khumbu glacier to reach the Everest Base camp. This ultimate helicopter ride gives you some of the best mountain views and sceneries. You will be given a maximum of 10 minutes of landing time a little bit above the Everest Base Camp due to the high altitude. And on the way back, you will be given about 30 minutes at Hotel Everest View to have a light Breakfast or tea/coffee with excellent views of Mt. Everest and its range. Further, you will fly back to Lukla and then to Kathmandu. Approximate tour duration is 3 ½ hours including stops. A Nepali tour guide will accompany you whenever possible.

    Heli-sightseeing to Everest
    Heli-sightseeing to Everest Base Camp (5350m/17550ft): Early morning you will be picked up at hotel and transfer to Kathmandu Domestic airport. You need to bring a copy of your passport or any photo ID. The helicopter land at Lukla airport to unload the fuel, then fly towards Everest Base Camp. As landing at Base camp is only permitted for rescue, the helicopter will land on a hill called Kalapathhar above the Base Camp. The stop time is maximum of 10 minutes because of high altitude. Then you will be drop off at Everest View Hotel in Syangboche for a short break to have a light Breakfast or tea/coffee with excellent views of Mt. Everest and many other highest mountains. Again you will be picked up and brought back to Kathmandu.

    The total trip duration is approximately 3 ½ hours, but may take longer because of weather and other conditions. Our guide will brief you about the trip.

    Note: The helicopter may leave for a short period for rescue purposes while you are at Everest View Hotel. Rescue from nearby places is mandatory according to Nepal government’s Civil Aviation rules.
